Oh, la la!! They taste so fantastic, you definately want to eat more than one! These dainty french pastries were catered to a wedding dinner that was held at the country club in Nixa this past year. Box Luncheon with the Red Hat Society at Chateau Charmant 10/2011

Our hats are off to a fun group, the ladies of the Red Hat Society. We had the opportunity to cater a fun boxed lunch of Chicken Salad on Croissant, Fresh Fruit Cup & Chocolate Chip Cookies for them as they enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere of Chateau Charmant for their monthly meeting. They are definately a fun bunch who know how to celebrate and enjoy the company of one another!
Happy Birthday to a dear friend!

In October of 2011, Chef Roland and I were invited to attend the birthday party of his friend Charles, who is the owner/operator of the exclusive hunting/fishing club of Flamingo Cay on Andros Island in the Bahamas. We had a great time and Chef Roland enjoyed meeting up with old friends whom he had made while he was Chef at Flamingo Cay. While we were part of the festivities, Chef Roland had the honor of preparing the birthday cake which was a requested favorite. He graced the table with his artisan bread and produced a Flamingo shaped cream puff to celebrate the anniversary of Flamingo Cay. Many new friends were made and we look forward to our next visit with friends Charles and Cindy!
Bonnie Palmer at Chateau Charmant, large event/wedding destination

I realized I've been negligent to write a little something about our good friends, Bob & Bonnie Palmer and their daughter Brittany, owners of the fabulous wedding/large event venue Chateau Charmant, located in the Fordland, Missouri area. We have had the good opportunity to collaborate with the Palmers in a variety of events and always love working at the castle, it's such an elegant and fun environment. They offer tours and you can contact them at their website www.charmingcastle.com . I highly recommend you look them over for your next large event or consider them when you're looking for that special place that will make you feel like royalty for the most special day of your life.
As well as large groups, Chateau Charmant can accomodate smaller groups and help you to develop an event idea for your group or club that will showcase your event in an intimate and elegant fashion.
It's worth coming out to see the gorgeous Chateau Charmant that has been lovingly built "by hand" and features unique details and a look of elegance that's hard to find. Nestled in the Ozark woodlands close to the Kindal Grocery Store in scenic Olga, Missouri, you will be delighted with a beautiful country drive with all of its country charm. In addition to a tour of Chateau Charmant, take a few minutes to sit and sip a favorite beverage or snack on a tasty treat on the front porch of the Kindal Country Store where you can take your time and just enjoy being. And, when the weather is nice, meander on down Olga Road just a short distance to a favorite local swimming hole on the Finley. With it's clean, wide gravel bar, there's plenty of room for parking and a perfect spot to lay out a yummy picnic. Come on out to enjoy nature and get your toes wet!
I've got some pictures that really show off the incredible work of the Palmers so I'm going to go hunt those up and get them posted. They are continuously adding so every trip out it's fun to see what's new at the castle Chateau Charmant!

Congratulations to Charley Brindley at the Kindall Store in Olga, Missouri!!
Charlie Brindley runs the country store, which is over 100 years old, in Olga, Missouri, population three. Charlie has truly invested himself in a well managed and stocked Kindall country store that has become a focal point for community gathering and a godsend when you really need something and don't want to drive 'all the way to town'. Not only has Charlie responded to the needs and requests of the local population, he has gone over and beyond by installing a small community park in an area where there is little opportunity for families and the young people to have some entertainment and activities. By installing a competition sandpit volleyball site, there are now teams made up of neighbors and friends that would normally not have such opportunity. There is an excellent slide/climbing tower for the little ones and ample beautiful, white sand for them to play in. With picknick tables/umbrellas sitting on the deck, it's a perfect spot to sip a cold drink and watch the kids play. For some 'old timey' entertainment, there is a regulation horseshoe pitching pit. In addition, there is a hoop for shooting some baskets and a real tetherball site. And, if strenuous activity is not what excites you, you can always challenge Charlie to an intense game of checkers or just sit on the porch and watch the traffic! There's something for eveyone, and it's free!!! Thank you, Charlie....you need to win an award, or something.
So, if anyone likes a quiet drive in the countryside, come on over to Olga, Missouri by traveling 60E, just past Fordland, turning south on Z. Meander up and down the hills on a pretty country drive and you'll come right to the store at the bend in the road, at the top of the hill. After enjoying a tour of a real genuine country store that has existed for over 100 years, having some playtime at the park, make sure you take a tour of Chateau Charmant, a real castle that is just minutes away. For tours of the castle, you will need to call in advance and you can make those arrangments by contacting Bonnie at www.charmingcastle.com And, if you're really feeling like going 'all out country', there's a great swimming hole down at the low-water bridge on the Finnley at the end of Olga road. My daughter, Kari Kirby, her children and I had a blast down there catching crawdads. There's a great gravel bar for picnics and it's just the right water depth for the little ones.
Charlie, we enjoyed your big Grand Opening June 2011 'shindig' and we were amazed how many people literally 'came out of the woods' to attend the free BBQ and volleyball tournament. I guess they liked the pastries Chef Roland contributed. There were only about 4 left out of several hundred!! Thank you, for a wonderful place to slow down and just enjoy life in the country!!

Spring was here and gone before I even noticed!
Through the winter there was eager anticipation as to all the projects I would accomplish around the house. When we approached spring, Chateau Charmant, the castle at Fordland, started to buzz with activity. Soon, we found ourselves catering for three seperate highschool proms! Times have definately changed. I can remember all the crepe paper and poster board that announced our prom back in the highschool gym. Definately, these kids 'did it up' glamoursly and they looked gorgeous in the enchanted atomosphere of the Chateau. At the largest prom attendance, we sat 170 for a beautiful served dinner by Chef Roland and his staff.
Destiny Outreach "Flame" Valentine Banquet held at the Monarch Art Factory/Randy Bacon Studio

Saturday, February 12, 2011, Chef Roland, myself (Elaine Parny) and my brother, Scott Jones had the privilege of catering for Destiny Outreach "Flame" Valentine Banquet held at the prestigeous Monarch Art Factory/Randy Bacon Studio located in Downtown Springfield, Missouri.
With approximately 140 in attendance, the food was presented as standing buffet to encourage the introduction of new friendships. With the gallery setting, there was some incredible art on exhibit. The function included a free Valentine photo shot by Picture People and a guest speaker who gave wonderful insight as to how a couple can encourage a satisfying and enjoyable marriage for a lifetime. A highlight of the evening was the opportunity to publicly proclaim undying love for one's mate.
Please, have a visit and enjoy! : http://www.randybacon.com/
